This is a phase 1, year 1985.
200 000 km, full origin (just a dump valve).
I use it only on week ends and holidays.
I try to take care about.
Later, if I have money, I want to restore it fully.

Tres belle R9 Turbo

Thanks to everyone!
This version is a 1400 cm3 with turbo (0,7 bar of pressure), one body carburator.
The power is 105 HP (phasis 2 is 115 HP).
The engine is a cleon, as on a gtl, broadway...
The consumption is about 8 liters for 100 km in normal drive, but if you drive fast, it can easyly drink 13 liters.

It's a pleasure car as I told it before, only for week ends.

Yes the phasis 1 have drums and not discs, but I brakes very good however.Moreover, they are larger than on my gtl model.
The second phasis have discs.

Can you briefly give me some information about Renault 9 Electronic ? I mean which parts of this car are electronic ? Is it warning the driver about an obstacle on the road with sound ? Does it always repeat the same words , sentences ? I saw an interior photo of an R9 Electronic and it seemed me very fascinating and interesting . Of course I don't know its technical specifications . By the way have you ever seen any Renault 9 Electronic working properly in your country ? If you can help me about these trivial questions , I'll be very pleased . Thanx

Oopps , I'm so sorry ! That should be Renault 11 Electronic not a Renault 9 . So What are the advantages and disadvantages of owing a Renault 11 Electronic ? The electronic system can cause a lot of trouble in that car ?

Effectively, the Renault 11 electronic really exists.
It seems that only a few renault 9 electronic where tested, personnaly, I never saw it.

About the r11 electronic, in France it existed on two version (tse = 1,4, and txe = 1,7).
The cars talks when there is a problem (bad light, door bad closed...).
In france some models are in a good conservation state.The administrator of the french forum have an r11 txe electronic with 70 000 km.
Majority of owners are quite satisfacted with with model, wich is very safe on major points.
However, I don't think that it tells you if there is an obstacle.

You got a very nice machine.I'm sure that 105 hp engine can fly this car.13 litre consumption is not too much,especially for a machine with carb and turbo,my little 1.4 72 hp machine can drink to 11-12 litres when i drive fast.

10 liters is not very important if you really drive as you told it !
For more than 140 hp, it seems to be a very economic engine, and of course with good calibration (set up?).

That's the point of the fuel injection.I rarely drive above 3000-3500 rpm,and I burn as much as Schakal's double-strentgh engine.My car has double body Weber carburator.

I agree with you.
Renault really makes good engines, but in France, majority of people prefers deutch motors (bmw, audi, mercedes…).

But, to be frank, today I don’t think that renault’s Quality is the same that before.
The electronic is the guilty, it’s now the majority of the problems. And I believe that I would not buy a Renault for my next car (for a new), to expensive compared to the concurrence.

i agree on that too.
renault stopped making good cars in 1996 ( end of renault 19 16v )
megane f7r that replaced the 19 is a worse car .
cheap looking interior , bad handling on the road

the only good thing from that is the f7r engine which has better
torque and power .

i would never buy a new renault model ,in fact i would never
buy a car made after 1995

Despite this, I like some recent models like clio RS, laguna 2l Turbo...powerfull cars...even if they don't have the same apparence and caracter (they looks too commons).
